Chandratal lake or Moon Lake in Spiti Valley is considered to be one of the most beautiful lakes in India and Himachal Pradesh. You can reach this pristine lake by traversing through the most treacherous roads and climbing the high glaciers between Rohtang Pass and Kunzum pass.
Chandrataal is situated at an altitude of about 4,300 metres (14,100 ft) in the Himalayas. Mountains of scree overlook the lake on one side, and a cirque encloses it on the other.
